Albelo's Sub Shop: Fresh, Flavorful Subs & Homemade Sides in Ocala, FL

Just stopped in on a whim while my FIL was getting blood drawn. I got their Italian stallion 8" and my husband 12" philly plus an order fries. Walked out spending $23 and worth every dime. The food was fresh, the bread was hot but soft. If you're thinking about a sub for dinner or lunch come here! Their ain't no way the Publix deli in the same plaza can beat them. We will see y'all again!!!

I wish that I'd found this place 5yrs ago, but the owner said they'd only been open 2 or 3.lol. It's small and quaint. They make all of there amazing desserts,sauces and soups in house. And they look amazing. The Albelo's original 8" is what i got, no tomato add onion and banana peppers. It was the BEST toasted sub sandwich I've ever had. I also tried some chips that come with the meal, I'd never had them and they were delicious. Salt and vinegar meets cheddar and onion sourcream.. They ladies were so sweet and gladly answered my questions UPDATE: SO my husbandand I went back 3 days later and ate there again! We got the same sandwich,the same way, and split it. So I get the 8 inch and we split it and it's plenty for us. This time we also tried the fried green tomatoes. They give you 6 so we each had 3 and they were very good. I really want to try the zucchini fries next time. And the lady that I'm assuming owns the place, said hey I recognize you from the other day, you wrote usa very nice review, I said yes I sure did, I had told her that I was going to which is why I was taking pics. And she said we really appreciate that it was so kind of you. And I thanked her, it made my day. Please go show them some love you won't regret it.

You really get what you pay for here and the quality is amazing! Had the roast beef and cheddar special today with side of fries and could feed an army! Best sandwich shop in the area and they have so much more.

They just recently opened and wow, it did not disappoint! After 10 minutes of deciding what we wanted (they have a large selection to choose from) I ordered the Italian Stallion and my wife ordered The Southern Bell in a wrap. Both sandwiches were delicious and the fries were hot and tasty as well. We definitely will be back and recommending to all our family and friends.

First time at Albelo's today and I wasn't disappointed at all. Ordered the el Mexicano sub. It's carne asada, salsa, cheese, and avocado cream in a nicely toasted bun The 12" sub was more than enough to share for 2 ppl. Also had zucchini fries for the 1st time and they were fried too perfection. Not at all greasy. I will most definitely be back.

Believe the hype Ocala! What a gem y'all have in this sandwich shop. Everything we ordered was amazing. Amazing vegetarian options as well. Love seeing perogies on a menu here in the south! The Cubano is the best Cuban sandwich I've ever had. Bread is crispy and the meat is juicy and full of flavor. 10/10 Highly recommend! The owners are super nice folks as well and you can tell they put a lot of love into this place!

First time here. Glad I stopped. Felt welcomed from the moment I walked in the door. The daily special Empanada were great. Loved the selections. I have a very picky mother and she said she will be back. If your looking for a great sandwich with a welcoming feel then you need to stop by.
